He has a Masters degree in Sociology and has traveled to India, Germany, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Thiland, and the U.S.A. He is married to Rajani Sherchan and lives with his two sons and daughters-in-laws: Dipesh/Sanju (daughter-Dibyanka) and Nitesh/Anusha in Pokhara/Kathmandu.
