Although a banker by profession, Sujit Mundul started his career as a lecturer of a renowned college in Calcutta in the early seventies, after obtaining his M.Sc. degree in chemistry from the university college of Science, Calcutta. Later he joined Standard Chartered Bank and served in various senior positions in India and U.K. During his long journey in banking Sujit obtained B.A (Hons) degree in Economics and LLB from Calcutta University. He also obtained diploma in Banking from the Indian Institute of Bankers and London Institute of Bankers. His last assignment with SCB was the role of CEO in SCB, Nepal. Currently he is a Director on the Board of SCB, Nepal.
Sujit is a visiting faculty in Birla Institute of Technology, MESRA and KUSOM in Nepal. He has been associated with NBI since its inception and has been conducting programmes in Leadership, Corporate Governance and Risk from time to time.
Currently he lives in Calcutta with his family.
