On Monday 14th November 2016, National Banking Institute Ltd. signed a MOU with Management Development Institute of Gurgaon, India.
Mr. Sanjib Subba , CEO of NBI and Dr. CP Shrimali, Director of MDI signed the Memorandum of Understanding in Gurgaon MDI Campus, India.
Dr. Shrimali is a noted personality in management and leadership development in India. In addition Dr. Shrimali who has once trained 1st batch of Nabil Bank staff way back in 1986 over 2 years has good understanding of the challenges in talent development in Nepalese Banking industry.
MDI, established in 1973 is one of the top B-Schools of India and is the first internationally accredited Indian B-School. It was accredited by South Asian Quality Systems (SAQS) in 2005. The long term Education Programmes are accredited by Association of MBAs (AMBA), U.K. The board members of MDI include eminent personalities from both industry and academia.
As per the strategic alliance the two reputed institutes NBI and MDI shall cooperate for the development of human resources in the areas of training, education and research. The agreement also paves way for the two institutes to support each other in the conduction of seminars, workshops and conferences. Sharing of expertise between the two institutes in the areas of "Faculties" and "Research and Development" have also been agreed upon. MDI shall extend its support in designing and delivering structured management and leadership development programs for mid to senior level bankers in Nepal.
