Overview

The Executive Visit Program 2026 is an intensive benchmarking experience designed to help participants understand how Indonesia has successfully built and supervised a large-scale microfinance and rural banking ecosystem that serves low- to middle-income communities and MSMEs. Through curated site visits and executive dialogues with leading institutions and key stakeholders, participants will gain practical, implementation-focused insights into effective micro-lending and savings models, MSME value-chain financing, governance and compliance, risk-based management, portfolio quality control, digital enablement, and community empowerment practices. The program aims to translate these proven approaches into actionable lessons—enabling participants to identify strategies that are transferable to their local context, strengthen institutional capability, and accelerate the development of sustainable, inclusive, and resilient microfinance services.

What do we aim to achieve?

The main objective of the program is to provide participants with a structured learning and benchmarking experience through expert lectures and field visits to selected microfinance institutions (MFIs) and their client businesses that demonstrate proven best practices in delivering microfinance services. The program also includes meetings with relevant regulatory and supervisory authorities in the banking and non-bank financial sectors to discuss Indonesia’s microfinance development outlook, current policy direction, and practical strategies that support a healthy, inclusive, and sustainable microfinance industry.
